My husband and I love finding creative ways to host get togethers. We don’t currently have a lot of living space, but we love hosting friends and family and spoiling them with yummy food, fun games, and great conversation. In turn, they spoil us with their company 🙂 We are constantly dreaming up menus for our next wine night, Netflix binge watching party, or play dates. Some of our favorite party foods include salsa and guacamole, bacon wrapped dates, fruity desserts, and bloody Mary’s to drink. Foods that are simple to make and assemble and work well in bulk are ideal for feeding a larger group of people. Another great party food idea is this homemade antipasto salad. It’s pickle-y, creamy, crunchy, spicy, sweet, and everything in between. Happy gathering!
“This antipasto salad is really easy to make and will definitely impress your guests. I used my Mom’s Dressing to marinate the veggies, which includes green and black olives, artichoke hearts, peppadews, and roasted red peppers. I also chopped in a few cucumbers … I couldn’t resist a little crunch, and put everything over some wild arugula. I have some slices of genoa salami and rolled proscuitto on the side, but of course you could use whatever Italian cured meat you prefer. I skipped the cheese, because I’m intolerant, but if you can handle it, go for it.
You can easily make most of this ahead of time, and assemble everything when you are read to serve. Or have guests assemble it themselves so they can add what they like.”
